This farm-to-table strolling dinner will feature, in addition to other unique foods from western India, dishes made lemon-cucumbers (called simadiya in Rajasthani) grown in white lotus farms. For this event, Sumi will cook special Hyderabad Dum Biryani and Swaroop will make nuts-rich dessert called the Shahi Tukda (the royal bite).
About the chefs:
Sumi and Swaroop were born in Rajasthan, India and are highly influenced its cuisine which is predominantly dictated by its unique produce that grows in low-water desert environment. Majority of their childhood was spent in Southern India which also influenced their cooking style.
